Reports claim that 17 people were killed when a teenager opened fire at a high school in Florida, and while many politicians and media pundits were eager to call for gun control, they are completely ignoring both the FBI’s involvement and the one thing that the suspects in the deadliest mass shootings in recent years seem to have in common… Why isn’t anyone talking about this?
We can argue for days about whether strict gun control laws would have prevented this mass shooting, but the fact is that if someone with evil intentions wants to commit mass murder they are not going to stop consider what is or is not legal.
The suspect in this shooting has one major thing in common with suspected gunmen from past mass shootings in the United States. They were diagnosed with either anxiety or depression, and the medical professionals they went to for help, responded by giving them pharmaceutical drugs that come packed with dangerous side effects that can actually serve to worsen their conditions, and that have been shown to lead to violent behavior.
In the latest case, suspect Nikolas Cruz left behind a trail on social media that featured photos on his Instagram account of him showing off knives, guns, and small animals he had murdered. He also made comments on YouTube saying things such as “I’m going to be a professional school shooter,” and “I am going to kill law enforcement one day.”
Yet even though the FBI received a direct tip about the comments made by Cruz five months ago, and then another tip that he was planning to carry out a school shooting last month, they did nothing to stop him.
But wait a minute… We know for a fact that the FBI has a history of seeking out troubled individuals, forming a bond with them online and then encouraging them to carry out acts of violence.
We also know that once again, the FBI immediately blamed the entire shooting on one individual. Yet multiple witnesses said they believe there was more than one shooter.
So, the question is… What actually happened? Was Nikolas Cruz a deranged teenager who opened fire on his fellow classmates and teachers on his own, or was he a mentally unstable pawn used by the FBI to push its political agenda?
The best thing we can do for the grieving families of the victims is to demand truth and transparency, even if that means daring to question the official narrative—and that is something everyone should be talking about.
