Trump Declares Victory Over Acquittal As Democrats Struggle To Coverup Iowa Caucus Disaster

Trump’s acquittal is raising new questions for the 2020 Election, as the Democratic Party struggles to explain the chaotic Iowa Caucus, and the chairman of the DNC calls for an immediate recanvass.

In his first speech in response to the Senate’s landmark vote, President Trump argued that this decision was the ultimate victory because Democrats have been trying to remove him from office since they first started the Russia-gate saga back in 2016.

So we had a campaign, little did we know we were running against some very very bad and evil people with fake dossiers, with all of these horrible, dirty cops that took these dossiers and did bad things. They knew all about it. The FISA courts should be ashamed of themselves,” Trump said.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump attended the 68th annual National Prayer Breakfast, where he was seen holding up a newspaper that displayed the word “acquitted” in all caps. The event, which typically has an attendance of around 3,000, brings together lawmakers from both parties, and Christian leaders from around the country.

During his remarks, Trump claimed he was “impeached for nothing” and accused Democrats of harming the nation by trying to remove him from office. “As everybody knows, my family, our great country, and your president have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people,” he said.

It is no secret that political tensions are high after the Senate voted to acquit Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress—both of which fell largely along party lines.

Thursday’s early event brought Trump face-to-face with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for a second time this week, as she delivered the opening prayer. She later addressed Trump’s remarks during her own press conference where she said he will be impeached forever, and will never get rid of that scar.

This morning the president said ‘well people use faith as an excuse to do’ I don’t know, he said bad things, but whatever he said was just so completely inappropriate especially at a prayer breakfast,” Pelosi said.

In his first public statement on Twitter, Trump responded to the news by posting a video that showed him campaigning for office for years and year to come, and eventually ending with a sign that read “Trump 4EVA.”

Trump’s acquittal is now raising new questions for the 2020 Election, as the Democratic Party struggles to explain Monday’s chaotic Iowa Caucus. With 97 percent of precincts reporting, the Iowa Democratic Party claims Pete Buttigieg is in the lead with 26.2 percent, followed close by Bernie Sanders with 26.1 percent, then by Elizabeth Warren with 18.2 percent, and finally by Joe Biden with just 15.8 percent.

But the numerous problems surrounding the election kick-off event the chairman of the DNC is now calling for an immediate recanvass of the Iowa caucuses by the state party, raising questions about whether Democrats will be able to get public support behind one candidate as the first primary is scheduled to take place in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

This, especially as reports note that “Last week in Iowa, Trump drew a larger crowd on a visit to Des Moines than any Democratic candidate had in a year of campaign events ahead of” the caucus on Monday.

Now it remains to be seen what the next move will be for both parties, as the 2020 election is just getting started.
